Volunteer Opportunities

Young Family Parenting Center and Boutique

Boutique workers – come to the Boutique located at our main office and assist in sorting clothing donations and preparing items to be given to clients.  Volunteer one morning a week or one morning a month.

Boutique driver – Pick up and deliver clothing from our storage area to both boutique locations.   Deliveries are made once a week.  You can volunteer one morning a month or one morning a week!

Maintenance – assist our maintenance crew with upkeep and general repairs on our 34 housing units.

Homeless to Home Sweet Home (H2HSH) – adopt a room or an entire house. Provide the furnishings for that room. Deliver the donations to the house and help create a home for a client family as they leave a homeless shelter for their own Home Sweet Home!    Great opportunity for a group.

Toy Drive Volunteer – pick up toys at area churches and companies and deliver to our Christmas toy drive site.  This is a one time volunteer position on a mutually agreed day.

Christmas Party Host Guide – Join us for our client Christmas party on Saturday, December 10, held at Messiah Lutheran Church on Grand Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  and partner with a client family.  Help lead them through the Santa Shop, Puppet Show, and Pictures with Santa.  Families with children are encouraged to be host families and volunteer together.  What a great way to volunteer this Christmas season and see the smiles on all our children’s faces!

Office assistant – answer incoming calls, assists with filing and other office tasks.

Bulk mailing assembly – Help assembly newsletters and mailings on as needed basis.

Board of Directors - Work with staff to establish policy, plan special events, and create and implement a strategic plan.

We often have need for volunteers for special projects. Please sign up to receive more information about these projects.
