Humanitri is a faith-based organization helping individuals and families in crisis to achieve stability & independence in the St. Louis area.
Our Mission: Humantri exists to help individuals and families in crisis achieve stability, independence, and dignity in a safe environment.
We carry out our mission with these principles of faith as our foundation. Hope, Faith, Joy and Love (Romans 5, I Corinthians 13). We bring the Hope of Christ Jesus, a Hope that cannot be washed away, to those who have lost their hope. Jesus reached out to and accepted people rejected by others, and we must do the same. We strive to Love others as Christ first loved us. Just as we are accountable to God for our actions and to our donors for the stewardship of God’s gifts, we instill accountability and responsibility within our clients. The road is not an easy one. There is often a price to pay for past actions: debts must be paid, drug and alcohol issues must be resolved, and reconciliation may need to take place. We expect to see change in our clients, change that comes from learning from the past, but also seeing hope for a brighter future. We do all of this to break cycles of crisis and instability, and to improve the quality of life of our clients.
Our Vision: All families live with dignity and with hope for the future, with Christians and all people of goodwill readily responding to the needs of our community.
We acknowledge that it is not by our own strengthen or will that we serve others, but by the grace of God. It is our vision to be servants of God, showing his peace and mercy to all clients, staff, volunteers, and other community partners teaching them to live with faith, dignity, hope and a stronger sense of self.
Our Approach: Our approach is holistic in that we aim to break the cycles of addiction, poverty, incarceration, homelessness, and abuse, helping the families we work with rise above their circumstances and make real lasting changes in their lives, their families, and their communities. We recognize that each family and its members are unique creations, with specific obstacles that they need to overcome. We help families identify these obstacles and teach and equip them to overcome them.
Our Structure: We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization that is funded through the generosity of individual donors, Church congregations, corporations and foundations.
