Humanitri is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and assistance to unhoused families through our Transformational Housing Program. Our mission is to empower families facing homelessness with the resources and services they need to regain stability and self-sufficiency. As a non-profit agency, our financial focus is on long-term sustainability and conscientious stewardship of donor funds.

Position Summary

Humanitri is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented part-time Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen relationships with local congregations, companies, and community partners. The coordinator will manage volunteer opportunities, share mission updates, promote giving opportunities, and support families in Humanitri’s Transformational Housing Program. This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on families transitioning toward stability and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with local congregations, companies, and community groups.
  • Serve as a liaison between Humanitri and community partners to ensure successful collaboration.
  • Create and distribute regular updates, newsletters, and promotional materials to engage and inform partners.
  • Prepare presentations to congregations, companies, and community groups about Humanitri’s mission, programs, and impact.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and address family needs through community support.

Volunteer Coordination

  • Organize, promote, and manage volunteer opportunities, including episodic and ongoing service projects, donation drives, and special campaigns to support Humanitri families.
  • Manage all facets of volunteer engagement, including project scope, timing, and documentation (photos, waivers).
  • Ensure volunteer waiver and photo release completion.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Track engagement metrics and maintain accurate records in CRM/donor management systems.
  • Provide regular reports on engagement activities and outcomes to the Executive Director.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Canva for creating promotional materials.
  • Familiarity with CRM or donor management systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Passion for Humanitri’s Christ-centered mission and ability to represent the organization with integrity and enthusiasm.
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend events, as needed.
