Families facing housing instability are not invisible. They are resilient and capable survivors. In St. Louis City, more than 1,000 families enter emergency shelters each year—driven by rising poverty and a shortage of affordable housing.

About 1 in 5 families who exit homelessness return within a year—making early, family-centered support critical.
Chronic homelessness can cost communities tens of thousands per person each year—making early, family-centered support critical.
Children who experience homelessness are about 40% more likely to experience it again as adults.
