Letter from the Board President, Humanitri

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Members of Our Community,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to introduce our new Executive Director, Courtney Kumar. After a thoughtful and prayerful search process, we are confident that God has led us to the right leader for this season of our organization’s journey.

Courtney Kumar brings a deep commitment to our mission, a passion for serving others, and a strong alignment with the Christian values that have guided our organization since its founding. We are excited about the vision, leadership, and dedication she will bring as we continue our work together.

We understand that leadership transitions can bring questions and uncertainty. We want to assure you that our Board has full confidence in Courtney Kumar and in her ability to lead our organization forward with integrity and compassion. Most importantly, our mission remains unchanged. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serving our community with hope in all that we do.

Courtney Kumar

Courtney is excited to join Humanitri as the new executive director, bringing more than a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, systems management, supportive housing, homeless services, and grant development.

Her commitment to Humanitri’s mission is deeply personal, rooted in her childhood experience of homelessness. This lived experience fuels her passion for helping individuals and families achieve housing stability and for strengthening community partnerships that create lasting solutions to homelessness.

Courtney received her bachelor’s degree in sociology and statistics from Bowling Green State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Northwest Missouri State University. She is dedicated to advancing Humanitri’s impact through innovative leadership, strategic collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to serving the community.
